Building A Customized eBAY About mePage

Creating a custom eBAY mePage can be relatively simple. Most folks (individuals and businesses) simple use the tools which eBAY offers to accomplish the task, and they do so with great results. On the other hand (however) there are those instances when you either want or require that your "mePage" is a little more special than the "out-of-the-box" results. In those cases, either you need to have a background in html or you hire someone to accomplish the task. The process of designing an eBay mePage is pretty much the same as building a homepage for a site. It does require some serious homework on your part (getting the information together). Once we have the information that you want to include on the page together, the rest is pretty much in my lap. If interested, it costs nothing to inquire and I do enjoy creating these pages. Send your questions via email or simply call in the evenings.

Policy overview

Use your About Me page to find other members with similar interests or to promote yourself and build trust with potential buyers and sellers.

On an About Me page, eBay doesn't allow members to promote items that aren't allowed on eBay or sales outside of eBay. We also don't allow members to group multiple web addresses (URLs) together so that they all show up in a single search result. Unless otherwise stated, About Me pages have to follow all listing policy guidelines.

Make sure your About Me page follows these guidelines. If it doesn't, it may be removed, and you may be subject to a range of other actions, including limits of your buying and selling privileges and suspension of your account.

What are the guidelines?

Allowed

• Using the page to let the other eBay members know who you are
• Displaying the items you're selling
• Displaying Feedback you've received
• Telling other members what your favorite hobbies and interests are

Not Allowed

• Links that directly offer merchandise that's not listed on eBay
• Links to other online trading websites or pages that can include auction or fixed-price format listings
• Links to sites that offer the same merchandise for the same or lower price; this includes the Buy It Now price
• Links to sites offering merchandise or information that isn't allowed on eBay
• Promoting sales outside of eBay from the About Me page
• Violations of our (eBay) other listing policies

Why does eBay have this policy?

The About Me pages allow members to share information about themselves or their company with other members. It helps to promote trust and confidence with potential buyers and sellers. eBay doesn't allow members to use About Me pages to sell merchandise outside of eBay.

Custom eBay About mePages normally take about a day or so to complete, depending on how much information you have to include and the current webstudio schedule. The standard $45 USD fee includes all the graphics and html required to complete the page - and I can load it on eBAY if you desire. Inasmuch as nothing is ever "right" the first time around, the price includes reasonable revisions and updates for up-to 30-days from the time it first appears on eBAY. Any changes, updates or revisions from that point on will be billed accordingly.
