NEW MILFORD WEB DESIGN maintains a simple outlook to website maintenance and growth, "Each site is as current as it's last update." Although some sites can sneak through a few months, or even a year, without any renovations - chances are that something will have been swept under the carpet unnoticed. It is purely the nature of the beast. While some sites inherently demand regular (even weekly) updating, others may be able to ease along with quarterly updates. I honestly believe that no independent site can survive (much less grow) without at least offering token gestures to appease the search engine gods. I mention it, and offer services to address the fact, because it is a reality - not a sales pitch.

A non-growth, unchanging site is static by nature. It can be a good reference for those that know about it, and it can grow with word-of-mouth or alternative promotion - but it is like reading the same newspaper over and over again for your site visitors. Somewhere along the line they might just get a bit bored with "the same old thing" and start to look elsewhere. And... your competition is well aware of this, and probably is taking steps to welcome them.

Not all sites built by New Milford Web Design get involved in long-term maintenance or development. It is something that I mention throughout the build process, but as a rule that will be the end of it unless a client brings the topic to the surface at some time in the future.
